Patti Jo Wilson is fabulous. She really understands the children that she is working with and really individualizes the lessons for them. She has such passion for what she does and loves to share that with the children. She is compassionate, loving, understanding and funny. My son said she is the best teacher I've ever had. She is one "COOL" teacher. My son never liked school even though he does very well in school but that changed once he met Patti Jo. He loved learning from Patti Jo because he said "she makes everything fun and we don't realize we are learning". - Sebastian’s mom
My daughter loves working with Patti Jo. She brings learning to life. Bria hated math. It was always a fight just to get her to do her homework. This was mostly because she didn't understand it. Now my daughter thinks that math is one of the easiest subjects. Bria's change of attitude is all thanks to Patti Jo's ability to make math fun. I love my son, but teachers didn't. They would tell me how he was disrupted to the class room and never paid attention. His grade were awful. Then we found Patti Jo. What a difference she made in our child's life. She took the time to get to know his interests and geared the lessons to what he liked. He was bored in school and tired of the same old lessons. He absolutely loved learning with Patti Jo. She made a huge difference in our lives, not only with teaching our child, but just by being the person she is. I went to one of those tutoring chains we all see advertised on television and was disappointed with the level of intervention and support they offered. That is when my sister-in-law told me about an “incredible” tutor who had been working with a young girl that she watched after school. I was introduced to Patti Jo the next week. We established a tutoring schedule for my son right away. After some initial assessments, Ms. Wilson focused on math and writing with my son. His response to Patti Jo’s methods, consistency and kindness was immediate. Patti Jo did remedial work to help my son catch up to his peers and reached out to his teacher so that she also could pre-teach concepts that would be introduced later in the year. My son has been working with Patti Jo for about a year now and the change is evident. The other night during a tutoring session my son was laughing while working on some math with Patti Jo….laughing!
